California is the most famous wine region in the United States. Who hasn´t yet heard about “Napa Valley”?

California is a region with best conditions for growing wine. Due to the reliable warm climate, Californian wine usually has a full body and richness.
Today, there are about 2.500 winemaking companies in the U.S., whereof more than a half are located in California. Meanwhile, about 90% of the American wines are produced there. The leading grape varieties which are most frequently planted in California are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot.
